Anthony Banker is a trial lawyer who devotes his practice to helping people who have been injured or exploited. Over the past 20 years, he has litigated several hundred cases involving negligence, maritime injuries, wrongful death, product liability, insurance bad faith, professional liability, lender liability, and fraud.

Anthony graduated cum laude from Gonzaga University School of Law in Spokane, Washington. He was awarded a Dean's Honors Scholarship and served as Editor-in-Chief of the Gonzaga Law Review. He is admitted to practice law in the courts of Alabama, Alaska, and Tennessee.

Most cases are resolved through negotiation and mediation, but Anthony also routinely tries cases to judges and juries throughout Alaska. He has also tried cases in Tennessee and Alabama. “Injured workers need good lawyers to help them recover everything available under the law. Insurance companies do everything they can to stop that from happening. I see this fight as one worth devoting my life's work to winning.” - Anthony Banker

Anthony feels particularly honored to represent working men and women and their families, as he comes from “working family” roots. He spent summers working as a laborer with a concrete form erector crew and put himself through college working as many as three jobs at a time. Anthony frequently sees working people lose the ability to work because of their injuries. He believes that injured workers need reliable personal injury lawyers to help them recover the compensation they are legally owed. Insurance companies do everything they can to stop that from happening, but Anthony is committed to securing favorable outcomes for his clients.

How Long Does It Take To Receive A Settlement?

Once everyone has agreed to the terms of the settlement the insurance company will typically draft a release, and your lawyer will review it to make sure that it accurately reflects the terms of the agreement. Once that is done, they overview the release agreement with you, and once that is signed and executed, it can take anywhere from a couple of days up to a couple of months for a check to be delivered depending on who is writing the check. Local insurance companies can process checks more quickly than the federal government. Cases involving payment by the federal government are typically the ones that take the longest.

What Are Some Defense Tactics Used By Insurance Companies?

The main purpose of an insurance adjuster tactic, is for them to pay as little as possible. Insurance adjusters may try a variety of defense tactics to avoid paying personal injury claims.

They may argue that someone went to the doctor too quickly, or waited too long.

They may argue that the accident could not have caused the injury.

They may comment that the person is taking too long to heal, or that the injuries were pre-existing.
