Ken Altman is a trial lawyer who has proudly worked with Morris Bart for 30 years making our community safer. As the senior litigator and managing attorney for the Mississippi and Alabama divisions of our law firm, Ken has taken nearly 40 cases to trial and has made it his mission to hold wrongdoers responsible for the consequences of their actions. He is specifically focused on compensating those who have suffered catastrophic injury as the result of safety rule violators.

Ken stresses quality representation through Focus Group and Mock Trials using the firm’s practice courtroom and has mentored a generation of young firm lawyers in litigation excellence. Over the past decade, Ken has also taught lawyers from around the country how to be better lawyers as a member of the faculty at the Keenan Trial Institute and as a speaker at multiple continuing education seminars.

Ken has been recognized by multiple national merit-based organizations and is an AV-Rated Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell. He is also designated Board Certified in Civil Trial Advocacy by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. Ken is also a proud member of the American Inns of Court, an organization dedicated to promoting the highest levels of professionalism in the practice of law. He is licensed to practice law in Mississippi, Florida, Louisiana and Alabama.

When he is not fighting wrongdoers and their insurers, Ken can be found catamaran racing in Ocean Springs, teaching Judo at his dojo, or spending time with his wife and adjusting to being empty nesters.
