Rob Schmittgens is a born and raised St. Louisian. From a young age, Rob was destined to be an attorney; he always stood up to bullies and “no” was an invitation to negotiate. He graduated from Chaminade College Preparatory School in 2009, and Rob first stepped into a (mock trial) courtroom in college and has never looked back.
Following his graduation, with honors, from Quincy University in 2013, he enrolled in the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Law. Rob earned a spot on UMKC’s highly rated Mock Trial Team and, in 2016, Rob graduated as one half of the winningest trial team in school history.
Rob moved back to St. Louis in the fall of 2016 to begin his practice. Rob has spent time at several different St. Louis area firms handling personal injury and worker’s compensation cases, from intake to resolution. Rob prides himself on diligent, compassionate representation and zealously advocates for his clients.
Over his career, Rob has always stood up for the little guy against the billion-dollar insurance conglomerates. Rob has resolved hundreds of injury cases and recovered millions of dollars on behalf of his clients.
Rob has appeared in front of the majority of judges in Eastern Missouri and Western Illinois, successfully mediated dozens of cases, tried multiple cases to verdict, and successfully argued in front of the Illinois Court of Appeals.
Rob founded the Schmittgens Injury Law Firm after nearly a decade of working on behalf of injured persons. Rob seeks to maximize a client’s recovery in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
When he’s not representing his clients, Rob lives in St. Louis with his beautiful wife Teresa (Lt. Col. MO Air National Guard), their children, Ava and Beto, and their beagle Barry. Rob is an avid supporter of all of our hometown teams, the Cardinals, Blues, and City SC, and the Tottenham Hotspur Football Club of the English Premier League.
