Mark Hurt is a native Bristolian who graduated from Duke University Law School in the top 10% of his class.
Mark Hurt is a native Bristolian who obtained his undergraduate degree from University of Virginia. He obtained his law degree from Duke University, graduating in the top ten percent of his class. Prior to returning to the Tri-Cities, Mark practiced with large litigation law firms in Dallas, Texas, and Washington, D.C.
Mark has extensive litigation experience, including trying cases in front of a jury, and arguing appeals, in Virginia, Tennessee and federal courts. He has argued twice before the nine justices of the United States Supreme Court.
Mark has also successfully reached settlements for his clients in dozens of cases, ranging from multimillion dollar settlements to small fender-bender cases involving a few thousand dollars.
About My Practice
I am passionate about representing the rights of the injured and disabled. I focus my practice on serious personal injury, workers’ compensation, and whistleblowing actions. As a proven advocate for my clients, I am a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, a prestigious association of the top trial lawyers in the United States. Fewer than 1 percent of attorneys in the United States are members of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum.
